Bithoor, a small town on the Bank of River Ganges is situated 22 kilometers away from Kanpur

There are some 30 Ghats existing here which is next to Varanasi which has 80 ghats.

If ever YOU visit this place don't forget to take a ride on the boat and watch all the ghats from the Ganges. Also a short walk in the narrow lanes of the village.

Valmiki Ashram back to Luv-Kush Janmasthan temple .

Brahmavarta Ghat- River Ganges was in full flow at Brahmavrat theerth.
Brahma mandir which is located on the main bank. Brahma’s footprints covered with copper plate are worshipped here. We went boating in the River Ganga flowing here. Saw different ghats here Sita, Laxman, Sravan, Pandav, Kaurav Ghats. This place is called Narayan Dham

DHRUVA TEELA” driving past narrow and steep road with ups and downs for about 2 kms, we reached Dhruva Teela which is the birthplace of the child-devotee Dhruva.
There is a small sannidhi for Dhruva. There is also a Sankatmochan Temple. This is very nice and secluded. We have to climb down the stairs to see the temple.

just opposite to Valmiki ashram sannidhi is Sita Rasoi (sita devi’s kitchen) and nearby is Sita Paatal Pravesh(from where Goddess Sita disappeared into the the earth). A hollow place laid by 1m X 1m stone with Kusha grass grown near it is the spot from where Sitadevi disappeared. It is a very nice place.

From Ballia towards to reach a village called chitbaragaon, take left from there and travel 6 KMs to reach a beautiful Arch(Karown) which is Kameshwar Dham. When we come inside we can see Kamashram. It has a beautiful huge tank.

Coming back to the ashram, its very large tank has water that is clean, very sweet and quite cold. As we enter the ashram, there is a large shiva temple, an anjaneya sannidhi, a sannidhi of Rama’s footprints. And also a bhavani sannidhi. There are trees all around and we seem to be the only bunch of people out to destroy the tranquility of this place.

Temple at Ram Rekha Ghat

The Ram Rekha ghat has to go through a busy market place to reach it. However before we reach the ghat, we find a small temple at Ram Rekha Ghat.

The 1st sannidhi on the left is that of Vishwakarma. It is again an enclosed place within this compound. Further there is a sannidhi for Rama, Lakshmana & Sita. Then one goes further down underground to a flight of stairs, where there is a sannidhi of 4 faced Brahma. This seems like a very old vigraham and the features are not clearly defined.

The next sannidhi just above at ground level, is that of Vishwamitra. As we do a pradakshina of the temple, one can see the Ganges and its from this temple.

Nuv Lakh mandir( Vaikuntanathar Kovil )
This temple can be approached for accommodation and food arrangements.

Followed to next street Trithandi jeeyar mutt is there. At the end of the street near to the banks of ganga Sri lakshmi narayan mandir we have a beautiful rama darshan

Tatakavan: It is behind the Naulakha temple. Where Rama killed Tadaka. It becomes now private property. Nobody allowed inside this place. At the compound wall we had a darshan of an empty ground.

Siddhasramam (Vaman Ashram ) which is located about 3 kms from railway station. This is inside central jail.We didn’t have any problem in getting inside. Vaman Avatar took place here.
whole of Buxar itself is called as Siddhashram. Near to this ashram one small river joins with ganga.
